New CBC Site Opening in Palm Beach in September 2017

 

The CBC will be opening a new full-service site in a heavily populated and accessible area of Palm Beach County, Florida on September 12, 2017.  The Palm Beach program was built on solid footing by concentrating on outreach, education, training & the development of community support. The CBC hired a part‐time Community Relations and Development specialist that collaborated with key staff, reaching out to public and private schools, healthcare providers, nonprofit organizations serving children and their families & community leaders in order to lay the groundwork for in‐service presentations by CBC and VITAS staff.  

Last spring, the CBC identified and trained the site coordinator employed and paid by its partner, VITAS Healthcare. The lead facilitator and volunteer training's will be held on August 18th (Miami Dade) and August 22^nd (Palm Beach).  

Finally, we are most excited about our new host site partner Franklin Academy in BoyntonBeach.  Franklin Academy is strategically located for easy access by those in the surrounding communities.  The school is a beautiful recently constructed state of the art facility that is very excited about the collaboration with the CBC as well as helping facilitate these services to all in the Palm Beach, Boca communities.   We want to thank all of our community partners that helped make this initiative a reality;  VITASHealthcare, Florida Blue and Franklin Academy.
